The White House counsel's office stated on Monday that keeping track of who visits presidents' private houses is not common procedure.

At least 20 documents ... were discovered at Mr. Biden's home and a Washington, D.C., office.
The materials come from his stint as Vice President under President Barack Obama. According to CBS News, some of them were labeled "Top Secret," the highest degree of classification.The discovery of confidential data in a private office at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington think tank, broke earlier this month. Following that, it was revealed that a second stockpile had been located at Mr. Biden's house in Wilmington, Delaware.
Over the weekend, the White House announced that an additional five pages of classified data were discovered on Thursday. At the conclusion of a presidency, all White House files are required by law to be turned over to the National Archives.
The White House has stated that the files were "inadvertently misplaced" and that it is fully cooperating with the investigation.Congressional Republicans have been asking on the White House to reveal visitor records for Mr. Biden's houses, but the White House has refused to say if such information will be released until Monday.
"President Biden's mishandling of sensitive documents begs the question of whether he has jeopardized our national security," Republican House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer stated in a letter to White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain over the weekend.
"Without a list of persons who have visited his house, the American people would never know who got access to these very secret materials."
The White House counsel's office, however, stated on Monday that no such visitor logs exist."Like every president in recent history, (Mr Biden's) personal house is personal," said Ian Sams, White House counsel's spokeswoman.
The Secret Service has previously stated that it does not keep track of presidential private houses. In a court filing in 2017, it stated that no visitor records were kept at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, where the FBI discovered hundreds of secret papers last year.
The agency does, however, maintain a regular presence at Mr. Biden's properties in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach and examines guests before they enter.
A special prosecutor is looking into Mr. Biden's handling of the materials. The Republican-led House Oversight Committee has stated that it will conduct its own inquiry.The White House does publish a visitor record on its website, which was implemented during the Obama administration.
It was suspended during Trump's administration and resumed when Mr. Biden took office.
