In connection with a shooting at a sports bar in Montgomery County, authorities have detained two males.
Just after 2:45 p.m. on December 18, according to Takoma Park police, Luis Samuel Rios Rodriguez, 35, and Abed Jonathan Midence-Lopez, 39, got into a fight with another patron at Barriles Restaurant & Sports Bar on New Hampshire Avenue.
According to investigators, they found the gun. Midence-Lopez and Rodriguez were both apprehended on the spot. Rodriguez is accused of trying to commit first-degree murder, assault in the first-degree, using a weapon while committing a crime, and second-degree assault. Midence-Lopez was accused of conspiring to commit each of the accusations.

Both men were led out of the building, but according to the police, Rodriguez later returned with a gun and confronted the other man. According to police, when a struggle broke out, Rodriguez shot the victim who was then taken in serious condition to a nearby hospital.
