Authorities will give a report on Thursday and video of the capture is supposed to be delivered later.
The city's police boss prior asked individuals to keep even headed once the recording is disclosed.
"This isn't simply an expert fizzling. This is a weak of essential humankind ...toward another individual," Police Boss CJ Davis said.
The five officials, every one of whom joined the Memphis Police Division over the most recent six years, were terminated last week after an examination viewed them as "straightforwardly liable for the actual maltreatment of Mr Nichols".
Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Desmond Factories Jr, Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith are all in guardianship, prison records show.
All have been accused of second-degree murder, disturbed attack, bothered abducting, official unfortunate behavior and official abuse.
A legal counselor for one of the previous officials, Mr Factories Jr, said he would hold a news gathering later on Thursday. Another legal counselor who addresses Mr Martin III affirmed his client had been charged and had handed himself over.
The Nichols family and their legal counselors secretly inspected the video film of the capture recently. "He was a human piñata. It was a pure, audacious, relentless beating of this young man for three minutes," legal counselor Antonio Romanucci said of its items.
On Wednesday, the family's legal counselors said an examination showed he had been seriously beaten.Mr Nichols was come by police en route to a nearby park, his mom said. City authorities said cops pulled him over for foolish driving and two "conflicts" happened.
As indicated by specialists, the first occurred as officials moved toward the vehicle and he endeavored to escape by walking. They said the subsequent showdown happened when officials attempted to capture him.
Mr Nichols later whined of windedness and was taken to emergency clinic, police said, where he was recorded in a basic condition. Authorities said Mr Nichols had "capitulated to his wounds" on 10 January, however gave no further detail. An authority reason for death has not yet been unveiled.
The FBI and the Division of Equity have opened a social equality examination concerning Mr Nichols' demise.
"My child was a lovely soul," said Mr Nichols' mom, Rowvaughn Wells. "No one is great, yet he was damn close." She considered her child's passing a "murder".
