Paris Hilton has rediscovered her inner pop princess.
The socialite-turned-businesswoman announced the re-release of her 2006 song "Stars Are Blind" on her social media profiles on Friday.
"Surprise! I recently released an improved version of "Stars Are Blind (Paris' Version)." "Hilton sent a message on Instagram. "Because this song has always meant so much to me, it felt natural to end 2022 with a new rendition."
She also stated that "additional new songs will be released in the new year."
Hilton had previously hinted at new music in a series of TikTok videos leading up to the song's Friday release.
"Me (on my way) to the recording studio because User409279 suggested we need to bring back Y2K pop," Hilton said in an animated video posted Tuesday.
The breezy, reggae-infused midtempo ballad, co-written and produced by Fernando Garibay and included on her debut album "Paris," debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went on to sell half a million digital downloads.
Hilton recently sang the song at LA Pride in the Park in June, with fellow 2000s pop star Christina Aguilera, who headlined the all-day celebration.
Hilton's admirers were eagerly anticipating her re-release of the aughts pop song Friday.

Despite having only released one album to far, Hilton has never abandoned music entirely. Hilton's DJing career has helped her become a staple in the world of EDM music in recent years, including a residency at The Pool After Dark in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in 2014.
Hilton also provided vocals for the EDM tracks "I Blame You" by Lodato in 2020 and "Melting" by Electric Polar Bears in 2021.
