Memorial Day beach shooting: 9 people injured in shooting in Hollywood.

 Following a mass shooting along the Hollywood Broadwalk on Monday afternoon, nine individuals were evacuated to surrounding hospitals, including four kids.


A representative for the City of Hollywood confirmed that 9 individuals had been shot. Four of those were youngsters ranging in age from 1 to 17, while the adults ranged in age from 25 to 65. One is undergoing surgery, while the others are in stable condition.
...It happened near the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in the 1200 block of N. Broadwalk. An area live video saw individuals fleeing the scene hastily at 6:41 p.m.
According to Hollywood officials, it began with a disagreement between two groups, which escalated into bullets being fired.
One person of interest has been apprehended, and police are seeking for a second.A number of individuals injured were sent to Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. 
Witnesses reported seeing one infant with a gunshot wound in the leg.
Mayor of Hollywood Josh Levy made the following statement:
"Thank you to all of the good Samaritans, paramedics, cops, and emergency room doctors and nurses who rushed to help the victims of today's shooting."

numerous police cars, unmarked police vehicles, at least one crime scene van, and numerous fire-rescue trucks were seen in Chopper 4 photographs.
Authorities had stopped at least one route and discovered that a big perimeter had been set up. 
While the investigation is ongoing, Hollywood police are advising residents to avoid the Hollywood Beach area between Johnson to Garfield Street, as well as the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.
Police established a reunion area at Johnson St. and the N. Ocean bus loop.
Access to Hollywood Beach remains closed.
