North Korea finishes the year by launching ballistic missiles.

According to South Korean military, North Korea launched three short-range ballistic missiles into the sea to the east of the Korean peninsula.
This new salvo came only five days after North Korea entered South Korean airspace for the first time since 2017.
This year, North Korea has launched more missiles than ever before.
The newest missile launches, according to Washington, ...do not constitute an imminent threat to the United States or its allies.
The three short-range ballistic missiles were launched from North Hwanghae Province, south of Pyongyang, at roughly 08:00 local time (23:00 GMT), according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff."North Korea's launch of ballistic missile(s) is a grave provocation that threatens peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula as well as the world community," they said.
According to the South Korean military, the missiles went around 350 kilometers (217 miles).
Earlier, Japan's coastguard reported that one missile had fallen into the water.
South Korea's military apologized this week for failing to shoot down five North Korean drones that flew across their shared border.
Seoul fired warning shots and dispatched fighter airplanes and attack helicopters to shoot down the planes, one of which was flying near to the city.
Earlier this month, the United States and its Asian allies sanctioned three top North Korean officials linked to the country's latest missile launches.Relations between North and South Korea have worsened since the conservative government of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol took office in May, vowing a harder approach against Pyongyang.
North Korea has become more aggressive under Kim Jong-un, who has supervised much of the country's recent nuclear development.
He recently stated that he wants his country to have the most powerful nuclear force in the world and declared it to be in a "irreversible" nuclear state.
